Winkleigh Fair 19/07/2025

Our latest enterprise was to rent a stall at the annual Winkleigh Fair to sell the stock purchased for us by Eva. I say rent, however, thank you to Neil McQuire and the Winkleigh Fair Committee for waiving the £10 charge! Reducing our outgoings means that more money goes to the charity.

It was a good outcome despite the slightly inclement weather and our disorganisation while setting up. We've never done this before so we will learn by the experience. In addition to the Kenyan items I also made a selection of lamb, chicken and vegetable samosas. We sold them before and after the fair. We raised a total of £424 in sales and donations. Although we did not sell out we have turned a healthy profit and have enough stock left for another fair.
