Meeting the Kenyan Community in Stoke-on-Trent

Meeting with H.E. High Commissioner Mr Makoloo and his wife.

What a wonderful and inspiring day it was for Dry River Children Charity as we had the privilege of meeting and engaging with the Kenyan community in Stoke-on-Trent.

As a charity dedicated to supporting children in Samburu, Kenya, it was especially meaningful to connect with fellow Kenyans who share a love for their homeland and a desire to see children across Kenya thrive. It was a fantastic opportunity to talk about our mission, share the work we are doing, and raise awareness of the challenges faced by children living in remote communities.

We were also honoured to meet the Kenyan High Commissioner. It was a pleasure to introduce Dry River Children Charity and discuss our commitment to creating brighter futures through education and community support.

We were incredibly grateful to receive help selling our charity badges throughout the event. Every badge worn not only helps raise vital funds but also spreads awareness of our charity and our mission. We hope these conversations and the badges themselves will help get the word out, inspiring more people to support Dry River Children Charity and the children of Samburu.

Engaging with Laikipia deputy Governor and Kenyans.

Events like these remind us of the power of unity. Every conversation, every new connection, every badge sold, and every word of encouragement strengthens our resolve to continue making a difference for the children of Samburu.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who took the time to speak with us, listen to our story, wear our charity badges, and show support for our cause. Together, we can continue building hope and creating opportunities for the next generation.

God bless Kenya, its people, and especially its children.
