On Friday 14th August, we gathered at the wonderful Drewe Arms in Drewsteignton for a very special evening of live music, food, friendship and fundraising in support of Dry River Children Charity.

What an unforgettable evening it was.

From the moment people started arriving, there was a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Talented musicians generously gave their time, filling the evening with an incredible mix of music that brought people together in celebration of hope and community.

Guests enjoyed a delicious BBQ, authentic Kenyan vegetarian food cooked the traditional way, and colourful Kenyan handmade crafts that brought a little piece of Samburu to Devon.

Together we raised £1,760!

Thanks to your extraordinary generosity, we were able to raise £1,760. Every donation, every meal purchased, every craft sold and every act of kindness will directly support our work with children and families in Samburu, Kenya. The funds raised will go towards helping install solar power, build a computer lab for the school and hopefully drill a borehole which would also help the nearby community. It would also bring brighter opportunities for some of the marginalised communities.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to every musician, volunteer, the team at the Drewe Arms, everyone who donated prizes and supplies, and every single person who came to support us.
