Birthday Fundraiser 01/06/2025

My birthday bash raised £905 from Gofund, £600 from the activities and bingo and £250 in cash - a total of £2355!. Thank you to all who contributed. Special thanks to Vee for providing the venue and arranging the activities. Also a great big thank you to all the companies who donated the activities and bingo prizes, including:

Greene King, The Globe Inn, Chagford, Fingle Bridge Inn, Drewsteignston and A. L. Martin Butchers, Okehampton & Chagford.

Since the party we have used some of the money raised to provide food and medicine for the immediate needs of the children at Mama Wachira's home in the Calvary community. This is a small proportion of the money raised and we continue to try and achieve our key aim of providing a source of water for the community at large.

Establishing a relationship with Eva, who runs the children's home has been very important in our further fund raising efforts. Eva purchased, on our behalf, a variety of Kenyan bags, jewellery and beaded dog collars which we intend to sell at local fairs in Devon. Hopefully this will help us reach our target of £6000.
